Paroxysmal Emotionality in a Group of Adolescents with Behavioral Disorders

General Objective: Characterize the categorical and dimensional psychopathological spectrum of a group adolescents Specific objectives: Describe sociodemographic composition sample, characterize alterations these identify negative emotions with clinical significance that group. Methods: A quantitative-qualitative methodology, descriptive exploratory study non-experimental cross-sectional design were assumed. We worked non-probabilistic intentional which included 20 who met inclusion criteria. Modified Grau Experiential Self-Report, Sentence Completion an in-depth interview applied to them. Descriptive statistics evaluated constructs performed. Results: The initial diagnostic impression reflected (50%) (n=20) have Conduct Disorder, (30%) Anxiety (15%) suffers from Depressive Episode, while through Self-report it was identified 95% poor emotional regulation, 80% suffer anxiety, tense health trait anger, 75% depression possible Alexithymia, (70%) are affected by psychological trauma. Conclusions: characterized having average age 15 years, predominance male sex, high school education white race. conduct disorders, anxiety depressive episode, in terms dimensions, negativity low positivity. paroxysmal irritability, impulsiveness, apathy, demotivation, unpleasant emotion they cannot define.
